Our Programs: Empowering Women, Girls, and Communities

HER-CREED Foundation drives transformative change through six core programs, each designed to advance health, education, economic empowerment, and human rights for women, girls, and young people across Nigeria and Africa. Below are the details of our impactful initiatives.

1. Human Rights & Gender Equality — “Voices for Justice”

Our “Voices for Justice” program combats gender-based violence (GBV) through prevention and response initiatives. We provide safe houses, legal aid, psychosocial support, and medical care for survivors, alongside community workshops to promote rights awareness and policy advocacy for stronger protective legislation. By engaging men and communities, we challenge harmful norms and foster gender equality.

2. Education & Skill Development

Through our “Back-to-School” sponsorships, “Empower HER Initiative,” and “Digital Bridges” program, we close educational gaps by providing scholarships, school supplies, and mentorship to vulnerable children. Our vocational training in tailoring, ICT, agribusiness, and renewable energy, along with community literacy hubs, empowers women and youth with lifelong learning opportunities.

3. Health Advocacy & Empowerment — “Healthy Women, Healthy Communities”

This program focuses on maternal and child health, offering mobile clinics, antenatal/postnatal care, family planning, and vaccinations. We conduct campaigns to reduce maternal mortality, raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, and mental health, and promote nutrition and hygiene to ensure healthier communities.

4. Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship

Our “Made by HER” initiative and apprenticeship schemes provide microfinance, seed grants, and financial literacy training to women and youth. By connecting trainees with artisans and employers, we create sustainable livelihoods in fields like ICT, agribusiness, and creative industries, fostering financial independence and economic resilience.

5. Leadership & Governance

Through “Women in Leadership” mentorship and the Youth Governance & Civic Engagement Forum, we equip women and youth with leadership, public speaking, and advocacy skills. Our programs promote civic participation, voter education, and inclusive governance, nurturing transformational leaders for community development.

6. Community & Environmental Sustainability

Our “Clean Water, Healthy Lives” and “Green Guardians” projects provide boreholes, sanitation facilities, and climate adaptation workshops. We promote tree-planting, waste management, and hygiene campaigns, empowering women and youth as agents of environmental change to build resilient, sustainable communities.
